atlantic concrete crush

So i just got back from NYC and have a bunch of photos to pop up from this 5 day trip. Sadly it was fairly work heavy so not half as much
squirrel type gathering of imagery as id of liked. Either way, grab your cameras and put this band on your ipod. Thats all you will need for a fulfilling day. Let me know how you get on. RP

secret eggs

Now there is a secret little place where we like to go for eggs. RP has passed this secret to several key friends and its generally quite a clean cut sweet ass brunch spot. This amazing guy plays pop songs in a jazz style on a grand piano in the middle of the dinning room and its all pretty fun and chill. This guy was hanging out getting his munch on and i could not resist a little sneaky shot. His get up was priceless!

Bogun, warrior we salute you

Great Escape

Once a year various music folk gather in the seaside town of Brighton to watch hundreds of clusters of new blood play shows in the hope of bagging the next big artists of the forth coming years. RP went down this year to see what its all about, hang with friends, and attend a few shin digs on the way.

These two are the primary definition of sarcasm , please beware

this man, will be famous, keep and eye out for Forth coming actor Sam Feeney

Levis secret party house, great hosts for the night

death rides

Yeah no big deal, totally cool about flying home today, deffo paid to get on a flight that has the word Die associated with it on boarding.
Don't worry as u can see, i made it.

Swine flu this

So when swine flu kicked in this year, it was good to know that you could get 50 face masks for a fiver on Brick Lane. What a load of bullshit. If i did not read papers or watch the news i swear to god id have no clue this was going on, and still know nobody it effected. Take your hype and jump.

Berlin ahoy

So in july we took a quick trip to Berlin for a trade show. We spent 2 days looking around, scoping things out. met up with key friends who were there for the same event and spent a relentless night of consumption in various apartments, bars, and restaurants. We have some seriously good food there, and the shopping is pretty sweet. Some of the window displays and merchandising there is like art in it-self.

One key historic building states in huge red neon lights "all art was once contemporary" which got us thinking. Anyway, some pretty nondescript images from a prolonged adventure.

sincerity in card writing

" Dude, Happy Birthday Dude, love Jim"

My friends are quite literally the best, youd be stoked with a card like that right? written on a bin, in laaaan daaaan taaaan, i would, cause i know it was written with more love an good intension than a pre planned purchase.

love love

RIP MJ

Way overdue but the week MJ died RP was off to Berlin for a trade show and general hang times. This was what one of our local cinemas did as a tribute to the legend. On arriving in Berlin there were continuous clues and tributes to the legends demise. Il post these shortly when i get to the Berlin chapter. RIP MJ, for all your faux Pas you sure wrote some stonkers.

Merci boucoup!

u need this

Thursday, 1 October 2009

So this summer we pretty much spent a whole week in Hyde Park attending various festivals and events including Bruce Springsteen, Blur, Neil Young, Bon Iver and our treasure Bobby Long. Each artists played their own consecutive event/ day via different promoters (who hooked us up, thanks ladies). Here are a world of photos from the summer fun spent in the park, from jugs of pims, ice coffee through straws and the best company u could need, here are some snaps.

PS: Neil Young totally killer The boss

yum yum yum

The best thing about my bus stop, even on the wettest, moodiest of days is this. Its a big ambitious ice cream that sit in the window of the polski cafe by my bus stop. Its an object so un obtainable, made solely to make you salivate and desire a fraction of its delight, but if it did actually exist, it would cost you at least 8 quid, and your butt would sure bounce after this.

It makes me smile every time, such greed could bring such pleasure, but only for a small moment in time, and then, well.... the consequences would surface. argh i want it!

we <3 props

in a desperate attempt to get as much of the missing clues of RP's recent existence, your going to get used to sporadic post syndrome. But embrace it folks, it might not be tidy or fluid, but it we cant always conform. Sari did a sweet Prodigy shoot last week and had to create some damaged goods. Amazing how much fun can be had throwing a megaphone around and placing gaffa tape in a strategically rugged fashion can be. She manged to get it signed also, a sweet Ebay investment in time of freelance downtime. hardy har

Im sure sari will post the shoot as soon as its published.

50 FT FACE

RP's dear friend Dan Smith ( who we visited and got tattooed at last summer) has settled into his new home at LA Ink and has now officially been made a full time feature on the show. last month his face was painted sky high on the back of the studio to signify the new season, Congratulations Dan, you deserve it!

NEW RESIDENCE

So, RP has now taken over a full house in Mayola. We will now be residing in the top and bottom floor of this victorian dream boat. Yes we know we are miles behind on blogging, yes we have been busy with new jobs, and keeping our heads above water, and yes we missed you too.

Rain day. @ Field day.

Stratford right?

After a long day at field day. we made it to The Victoria in Mile End on a sunday sunny afternoon to make up for all the money we spent the day before. Vintage sales, fishfinger sandwiches, cakes and coffee made it a success.

IT ALL NEW

So here is the set design I did for a feature called 'New To Q' in this months issue of Q Magazine. yay.
